Shock Sign Center Steve Wicklum

The Oceanside Shock today announced the signing of veteran center Steve Wicklum to a standard FPHL contract. Wicklum is in Fresno with the Shock and available for selection for Friday’s game against the Falcons. Per club and league rules, details of the contract will not be announced.
Wicklum, 38, is a right-handed shot who steps into the lineup for Chase DiBari (upper body), who will miss this weekend’s action. He most recently saw professional action last season playing overseas in Spain and Estonia. His last appearance in the FPHL came in the 2013-14 season for the Danville Dashers, where he posted (3-8=11) points in 15 games. Wicklum played three seasons at Buffalo State College from 2009-12.
The Shock play Friday night in Fresno before returning home on Saturday night to host the Falcons for a Halloween special game, facing off at 6:05pm from Frontwave Arena in Oceanside. Tickets are available for the game by visiting axs.com or frontwavearena.com.
